Shabby Chic Fairy Garden Sign

An easy make for the garden !
Take a piece of thin plywood, saw to size and shape required not forgetting a long bit for the stake.
Paint with chalk paint - when it's dry sand the edges for a shabby effect.

Next print out a pretty digital stamp onto tissue paper. I used Aurora Wings Daisy Elf.
To use tissue in the printer I simply sellotape it to a sheet of copy paper.
Create some words for your sign in a nice font and print onto the tissue also.
Now u can colour the image - pencils are ideal, like Spectrum Noir.
Quick and easy colouring you don't have to be too precise.
Time to cut - do this as close as u can to the image then carefully stick onto the painted ply.
I like to use Liquitex matt medium as a glue this doubles as a sealer when brushed all over to finish.

Attach the stake to the back and decorate as u wish.
I added glitter (of course) and a bit of curled rusty wire.
Stick it in a pot summer flowers !

  1. OMW, this is so charming, Carolyn! You make such beautiful projects of all kinds, don't you? The shabby chic garden sign is so lovely, but your flowers are beautiful, too, making the photos so magical! Really enjoyed checking out your blog post. ^_^
